College of Mount Saint Vincent Provides Liberal Art Education in the Catholic tradition
A Catholic Liberal Arts College in Riverdale, located at that Bronx in New York, was the College of Mount Saint Vincent by the Sisters of Charity of New York founded in 1847. Campus Overview
A four-year coeducational private university offering liberal arts education at Mount Saint Vincent Catholic tradition in his excellent 70-acre campus overlooking the Hudson River. Brief history
Founded in 1847 as the Academy of Mount Saint Vincent College, bought the 70 acres of land in Fonthill in the Riverdale neighborhood called the Bronx. A castle in the former estate of the actor Edwin Forrest Shakesperian works now the task of the admission and financial aid for the College. Grant of degree in the College in 1911 and started the College was a co-educational in 1974. In the last three decades and half of the college twice their original size has grown.
Programs offered
With approximately 1800 students strength of the professional school offers bachelor’s degrees in nursing, business, communication and education. In addition to the standard liberal arts curriculum with specific strengths in disciplines such as sociology, psychology, English, biochemistry and biology are also offered. Degrees by the college in nursing, business and education are offered one of the best in the country. Associate degree in two streams, bachelor’s degree in ten streams and master’s degree in two streams are available to the university.
Admission
It is one of those universities where the entrance is open to high school transfer students under 25 and adult students over 25 to find the bachelor’s degree, seeking transfer student nurses in Mid-Manhattan campus, and students looking for either the recognition or for graduation programs.
